The book "Molla Nasreddin traveling around the world" and www.mollanasreddin.az portal prepared with financial support from SOCAR AQS were presented on 27 November. The book contains anecdotes collected from Central Asia and Turkic nations, including the Balkans.
Presentation of the book took place at the Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) during the Republican Scientific Conference "Molla Nasreddin's Anecdotes: Modern Scientific Approaches and Experience of National Folklore" organized by the Institute of Folklore.
Speaking at the event, academician Teymur Karimli, academic secretary of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences of ANAS, stated that Molla Nasreddin's anecdotes are one of the most philosophical examples of folklore.
The 1st volume of the book "Molla Nasreddin traveling around the world" prepared with the financial support from SOCAR AQS was published last year. The book is the first collection of Molla Nasreddin's anecdotes circulated throughout Azerbaijan.
