SOCAR AQS successfully participated in 25th Anniversary International Caspian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference
From May 29 to June 1, 2018, SOCAR AQS participated in the 25th Anniversary International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference.
The Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, the first specialized event in Azerbaijan, has earned the status of the key industrial forum in the region thanks to its successful 25 years of history. The traditionally held annual exhibition is an important event which brings together key business circles to discuss key oil and gas projects, as well as demonstrate cutting-edge technologies in oil and gas production, processing, transportation, logistics, and service.
Participating in the jubilee event of the international exhibition, SOCAR AQS has received visitors with its individual exhibition pavilion. Interesting presentations about the activities of the company have attracted the attention of a large audience.
Delegations from various oil and gas companies exchanged views on drilling operations at Umid and Bulla gas fields, which are distinguished with their complexity from the geological point of view.
At the same time, the activity of the SOCAR AQS Drilling School, created by the enterprise during the accreditation of the International Well Control Forum (IWCF), has attracted the great interest of the leading specialists of local and international companies.
At the SOCAR AQS Drilling School, the trainings based on 2,3 and 4th category on Well Control are making a significant contribution to the training of skilled local staff.

On the first day of the conference, Drilling Manager of SOCAR AQS Graham Clark and consultant Bryan Wollam made an interesting presentation on how to improve the performance indicators by applying the «Agile» management system, technical accreditation and advanced standardization methods. The newly launched «Agile» management system promotes the acceleration of the company’’s strategic goals and objectives for a long-term period.
As the objectives and targets are visually designed within the process called Dynamic Management System, control over the performance of work is accelerated.
The essence of the Agile system implemented in the enterprise and the presentation made based on best practices have caused the great interest of the conference participants. The implementation of advanced standardization methods at the local enterprise was highly appreciated by the moderators of the conference and this value once again confirmed the innovative status of SOCAR AQS in the local drilling industry.
It should be noted that at the conference attended by experts from various fields, the latest technological achievements, results of modern researchers and prospects of development were discussed in detail.
